Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury said that it is necessary to increase the salary of teachers. However, even if it cannot be done in the current budget, the minister expressed hope that it will be possible to increase it in the next budget.
He said this at the inauguration of Naipunya App, National Curriculum Portal and subject-based online training programs on Tuesday afternoon.
The education minister said that teachers’ salaries need to be increased. But we could not include that in this budget. Hope we can do it in next budget. Teachers’ salaries can be easily increased if school development costs are reduced and operational costs are increased.
He said that the competition will be organized soon to reward the teachers. Teachers from all over the country can participate in it. Winners will be awarded. The competition will be on how well and easily the teachers can teach the students in the classroom. Teachers will submit teaching videos.
About the new curriculum, he said, the new curriculum has been created not only for knowledge-oriented, but also to transform into innovative thinking.
