2 leaders of BNP-Jamaat died on the way back from court appearance

Two BNP-Jamaat leaders named Jamal Uddin (55) and Hafiz Ullah (57) died in a road accident in Noakhali’s Subarnachar. The accident took place on the Charjabbar-Sonapur road in Sultan Nagar area of ​​the upazila on the way back from attending the court in Noakhali on Tuesday around 12:30 pm.

The deceased Jamal Uddin was a resident of Katabuniya village of Ward No. 1 of Char Amanulya Union of Upazila and was the BNP president of that ward. Hafiz Ullah was a resident of Ward No. 2 of Charbata Union and was a Jamaat leader of the same union.

According to the family sources of the deceased, this morning Jamal Uddin and his relative Hafiz Ullah went on a motorcycle to the district town of Maizdi to attend a political case. On their way home from attendance, when they reached the Sultan Nagar area of ​​Charjabbar-Sonapur road of the upazila, a CNG-driven autorickshaw coming from behind hit their motorcycle. The motorcyclist Hafiz Ullah fell off the motorcycle and went outside the road. At that time, another truck behind hit their motorcycle. BNP leader Jamal died on the spot.

Later the locals rescued them and took them to Noakhali General General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared Jamal dead. Hafiz Ullah died at 4 pm while undergoing treatment in the hospital. 

In this incident, Charjabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kawsar Alam Bhuiyan said, ‘Police have been sent to the spot after receiving the news. The vehicles have been impounded. Two died in this incident. Legal action will be taken after investigating this matter.’
