Legendary Brazilian footballer Pele died on December 29, 2022. His precious mother Celeste Arantes survived her son’s death. The legendary footballer’s mother died on Friday at the age of 101.
Pele’s eldest son Bertay Edinho confirmed the news of Celeste Arantes’ death. In a message on Instagram, he wrote, ‘Rest in peace Grandma.’
Local media reported that Arantes was hospitalized for 8 days. He died on Friday after that.
At the time of Pele’s death, the family said Arantes had cognitive difficulties and was unaware of his son’s death.
