Miscreants killed fish by pouring poison in a pond at Sonagazi in Feni. The victim fish farmer claimed that there was a loss of around 4 lakh rupees. Iftekhar Uddin Jewel said, I have been cultivating fish in this 40th century pond with a lease 4 months ago. In this pond we are cultivating various species of fish including roe, catal, mrigel, tilapia, pangas fish. I think unknown miscreants have done some hostility and mixed some substance like poison or pesticide in the pond. Otherwise, all the fish will die suddenly. The fish that died were salable. The weight of the fish is about 750-900 grams. I have lost about 4 lakh rupees.
Jewel also said that after reviewing the CCTV footage of the pond, a man was seen standing on the southwest side of the pond around 3:16 p.m. The unidentified man could not be identified because his photo was blurry. Rogues have finished me. Besides this pond, I earn my livelihood by farming fish in several other ponds and raising chickens. I am afraid I have 4 farms of 8 thousand layer chickens on the banks of the pond and in the surrounding area. I am worried about future miscreants doing any damage to my chicken farm. I informed the police verbally about this. When the police visit the spot, I will go to the police station and file a written complaint.
