District Awami League General Secretary Saidul Karim Mintu made a budget of Tk 2 crore to ‘remove Anwar from the world’, Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency, Anwarul Azim. Because, if Anna is not there, the way to become a member of Parliament in that seat will open for him – Mintu was full of dreams. At last he walked that way.

MP Anar’s choice to elect Mintur in Jhenaidah-4 seat was a long time. In the last two parliamentary elections, Mintu lobbied strongly to get the Awami League ticket from A constituency. But he did not succeed. Last in 2022, during the formation of Jhenaidah district Awami League committee, MP Annar stood in the way of the post of general secretary.

As a result, Mintu coldly planned to remove Ana from the world. He also made a budget of two crore rupees to finish Anna’s killing mission. Khuni gave the overall work responsibility to Mintu’s close associate Jhenaidah District Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary Kazi Kamal Ahmed alias Gas Babu.

Aktaruzzaman Shaheen, the mastermind behind the murder of A Gas Babui Anna, and Shimul Bhuiyan alias Amanulya, the extremist leader of the main killer, were in constant contact. Gas Babu promised to pay two crores to Shimul on May 6 before killing MP Anar. Accordingly, after the killing mission, on May 16, Shimul sent Anar’s picture to Gas Babu and Mintu’s phone. Mintu called Shimul after sending the picture. He spoke to Shaheen to confirm the murder.

To divert this pre-planned political murder to a different sector, the killers brought up the issue of Anar’s gold smuggling conflict with Shaheen. In the first stage of arrest, the killers tried to mislead the DB police about it. This information has been revealed by sources related to the investigation of DB.

Sources say that the statement of the main killer Shimul and various digital devices used by the killers have clues to the murder. And DB Police is getting involvement of Awami League leader Mintu at all stages from planning to execution of this murder. When Mintu was interrogated on Tuesday after his arrest, he pleaded not guilty to the DB police. However, he is unable to give any answer regarding the digital evidence against him. Mintu is also giving incoherent answers to many questions in the face of DB’s interrogation.

Meanwhile, the court granted 8 days remand to Mintu after his arrest. Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain gave this order on Thursday.

Regarding Mintu’s arrest, Additional Commissioner (Investigation) Mohammad Haroon Or Rasheed told reporters at his office on Thursday afternoon, “We do not call anyone unless we find any clear connection to anyone in the investigation. He was arrested based on the information obtained in the statement given by Shimul Bhuiyan under section 164 and the statement of Mintu’s close aide Babu. He needs to be questioned extensively. That’s why we handed him over and asked for 10 days remand, but the court granted 8 days remand. If necessary, Shimul will be remanded and interrogated.

Haroon Or Rashid also said that Shimul came to the country on May 15 after missing Anar’s body. Later, when Shimul came to Dhaka, why did Mintu’s representative contact him? Mintu has known since May 16 that MP Annar was killed while we know on May 22. If Mintu had seen the photos taken after the killing of MP Anar on May 16 then why did he not tell the law enforcement agencies. The issue of money transactions has also come up in the statement given under section 164 of the arrested. We will analyze everything.

Related sources say that DB found political connection with Anna’s murder by analyzing digital devices and digital evidence. Shimul said in the statement given to the court, a week before the murder, on May 6, they contacted another leader on the phone. The leader said about the money transaction there, amounting to two crores. Out of this, the killers will pay 20 lakhs after returning home and 1 crore 80 lakhs between May 26 and 29.

After reviewing the information and devices given by the arrested during the interrogation, the DB found out that Shimul Bhuiyan worked as a liaison officer for Aktaruzzaman Shaheen. Similarly, Babu has worked as a liaison officer for Mintu. During interrogation, Babu admitted that he had several meetings with the main killer. Talked to him several times on the phone. At one stage, Babu also gave Mintu a picture of dead MP Anar.

During the interrogation, Babu said that Aktaruzzaman Shaheen took all three of his mobile phones. Babu is being interrogated as to why the phone was taken away
