The traders caught the fake magistrate in Faridpur

Police arrested a fake magistrate in Faridpur. The arrested person has been sent to jail through the court on Thursday afternoon.

The arrested person’s name is Shaharia Jahan. He is 50 years old. He is a magistrate. A mobile court is run alone. Yesterday afternoon, Kalam Bogra went to Sweets Store in Mominkharhat Bazaar of Charmadhabdia Union of Faridpur Sadar Upazila. Want to see the various licenses of that shop. Then he entered the shop and tried to find various irregularities. At one stage, he told the owner of the company that various irregularities were found and a fine of 10,000 taka was imposed. Later the shop owner gave him 1000 rupees to Magistrate Shaharia. Then the shop owner asks him for the receipt. That’s when the problem came.

As he could not give the receipt, the shop owner called other traders in the market. The fake Magistrate Shaharia got caught while surrounding him and questioning him. After calling 999, Kotyali police went to the spot and arrested the fake magistrate Shaharia Jahan and brought him to the police station.

Ashikur Rahman, owner of Kalam Bogra Confectionery, told Samakal that Shaharia Zaman came to the shop and introduced herself as a magistrate. Later, he started not liking the various sweets in the shop. At one point, he said, a fine of 10,000 taka has been imposed. Pay the fine. 

He also said that when Rashid asked for the money, he started arguing. Later, after calling other traders in the market, it was found out that he is a fake magistrate. Later he was handed over to the police.

Officer in charge of Faridpur Kotyali Police Station. Hasanuzzaman told Samakal that after receiving a call from 999, Kotyali police went to the spot and arrested the fake magistrate Shaharia Jahan. This afternoon businessman Ashiqur Rahman filed a case against him as plaintiff. Later in the afternoon they were sent to jail by the court.

He also said that the arrested fake magistrate Shaharia Jahan is a resident of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district. He used to extort money from common people by pretending to be a magistrate in different areas.
