Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas said that the sacrificial animal waste will be cleaned within 24 hours.
He said this to reporters after visiting the National Eidgah grounds on Wednesday morning.
Tapas said, ‘One of our big activities this Eid is to remove the waste of sacrificial animals. We will start that activity from 2 pm on Eid day. We are hopeful that like last year we will be able to remove all the waste within 24 hours and we will be able to gift Dhaka a clean city to everyone.’
He said, ‘We have to clean the waste of the market, the waste of the sacrifice, the regular waste. Since the previous night we have been working continuously for almost 72 hours, no one can rest.’
At this time, Tapas requested the residents of South City to complete the sacrifice within two days, the day of Eid and the day after Eid.
