Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always promoted himself. Modi, who has not spoken about alliances or consensus in the last 10 years, today celebrated the victory of ‘NDA’. He said, majority is needed to run the government, but consensus is needed to run the country. Everyone agrees. NDA is showing that. No one else has been as successful as the NDA in terms of alliances.

Modi, who has been promoting himself for so long, has placed himself above the party, today the words of the greatness of the alliance are pouring out in the voice of Modi. Modi, who was elected as the leader of the NDA parliamentary party in the central hall of the old parliament building on Friday, said, ‘This alliance is not an alliance of parties coming together for power, it is a natural alliance. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prakash Singh Badal, Balasaheb Thackeray, George Fernandez, Sharad Yadvera sowed the seeds of this alliance. Today it is Mahiruh.’

Modi, who is going to become the Prime Minister for the third time, said, “It is my duty to fulfill the responsibility that the countrymen and you have given me.” Speaking in that context, his voice repeated coalition politics, NDA, going with everyone and being unanimous. Narendra Modi, who never uttered the word ‘alliance’ during the election campaign, who never even called a meeting of the NDA alliance, who never formed a coordination committee, who only had ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ in the election manifesto, who lost a single majority, said today, ‘NDA’s ideals and principles’. is “Equality in all ways”; That is, everyone is equal. We continue to believe in that principle. I will move forward in the coming days as well.’

In this retirement, Modi, in his characteristic manner, did not stop taking a dig at the Congress. He said, the opposition has tried to imply from the beginning that the NDA has not won. This win is included in the loss. Their efforts were in vain. The truth is, even in the last 10 years, Congress could not take its number of seats to 100. Modi said that the number of seats BJP has got this time, even in the last three Lok Sabha polls, the Congress could not touch it. Addressing the Congress, he said, ‘The mindset of the opposition is as if we (NDA) have lost. But we never lost. Not this time either. Ask any child, who was in power for so long? You will see the answer, the NDA government. Want to know who will form the government in 2024? Get the answer, NDA. NDA was the government in the past too, they will be in the future too.’

At six o’clock in the evening today, Narendra Modi went to the Rashtrapati Bhavan and formally demanded the formation of the government for the third time. Oath taking next Sunday. Before that, he visited the residences of senior leaders LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi and met them.

All the leaders of the Sharik parties expressed their confidence in Modi at the Central Hall function. JDU leader Nitish Kumar suddenly went to bow with his hands at Modi’s feet. He said, ‘It is not useful to go here and there again and again. I will stay with you. Everyone will move forward under your leadership.’

Just as Modi has hinted at maintaining alliances right from the start, forgetting ‘unity’, the leaders of the partner parties have also expressed their unconditional support to the Modi-led government. But despite this, the ministry is not leaving the bargain. In many ways, they are increasing the pressure on the big partner BJP.

The BJP, however, is not ready to relinquish any of the four major ministries to anyone. On behalf of the party, the partners have been informed that in no way will they leave the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance, Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Defense. Even ministries such as railways and road transport, where huge investments have been made due to reforms, the BJP is reluctant to give up.

After the NDA meeting on Friday, a BJP source said, “Though the Prime Minister said to give importance to the alliance and everyone, he does not want the continuity of the campaign to be damaged in any way. Partners must remember that our number is not nine but 240. Giving them importance does not mean accepting all unjust obligations.’

BJP is most worried about TDP and JDU. Both Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar have been demanding special financial packages for their states — Andhra Pradesh and Bihar respectively. Naidu demanded huge financial support for his state’s new capital Amravati. Nitish also wants special assistance in the development of backward Bihar. Along with this, there are demands from important ministries. Modi is not willing to leave the infrastructure ministry again. He told his close friends that he does not want the benefits of 10 years to go to waste. Now everyone’s eyes are on how to keep the partners satisfied.

Apart from TDP and JDU, there is Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janashakti Party. They have also demanded an important full ministry. The fate of the coalition will depend on how well the ministry keeps the sharing partners satisfied. Before the start of the government’s journey, Narendra Modi has made it clear that he is ready to follow the coalition after ending the 10-year monopoly.
