According to the Met office, day temperatures may rise by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across the country on Tuesday and night temperatures may drop slightly.

They also said that except Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chittagong divisions, the situation may improve in the whole country.

He said that strong cyclone Rimal has weakened and turned into a low pressure. The land depression located in Manikganj and nearby areas has moved north-east and is currently located in Sylhet and adjoining areas. It may move further north-east and weaken with increasing rains.

Due to its effect, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chittagong divisions may experience heavy rainfall at some places, he said.

Due to the presence of a pressure ring in the North Bay of Bengal, there is a wide variation in air pressure. As a result, gusty winds are blowing in coastal areas. Stormy winds may continue over seaports, North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh.

Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display local warning signal number 3 to avoid accidents.

Meteorologist Md. Hafizur Rahman said that gusty winds of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour can blow from the southeast direction in the river basins of Dhaka, Faridpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions. In order to avoid marine accidents, the river ports in these areas have been asked to display the marine warning signal No. 2. In other parts of the country, signal number 1 has been issued due to the possibility of gusty winds of 45 to 60 kmph.

It is predicted that many places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Barisal and Rangpur divisions and one or two places of Khulna and Rajshahi divisions may temporarily experience light to moderate rain or thunder with gusty winds.

Winds are blowing at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour from south and southeast direction in Dhaka on Tuesday. It can grow up to 40 to 50 km in temporary gusts.

Chandpur has received maximum rainfall of 257 mm in the last 24 hours till 9 am on Tuesday. Besides, Chittagong and Sylhet received 249 millimeters of rain, Dhaka 224, Srimangal 217 and Madaripur 208 millimeters.

Bandarban 178, Sandwip 176, Gopalganj 167, Feni and Qutubdia 162, Barisal 147 and Patuakhali 145, Mongla 137, Khulna 125, Comilla 122, Hatia 112, Tangail 107, Maizdicourt 104 mm and Satkhira 91 and Tarasha 88 mm of rainfall have been recorded during this period. .
