Ashiq Chowdhury flew from Bangladesh to the United States on the night of 21 May to set a record. After that he practiced for two days at the airfield. He attempted the record at the scheduled time (May 25) as the weather was favorable.

Ashiq said, ‘Having the flag in both hands, one has to gain speed to maintain balance during sky diving. Opening the parachute in time becomes very difficult when the sky starts to turn. This happened to me too. Fortunately, I was saved in this journey because I knew the technique of opening the parachute in an emergency.’

After a successful attempt, Ashiq is now waiting for the final announcement from the World Air Sports Federation. A representative of this organization was present at Wings Field Airport yesterday. He also collected pictures and videos of Ashik along with the GPS tracker. This witness will analyze these data and prepare a report. Then two more impartial judges will verify it and make the final announcement.

Ashiq said, it will take about two weeks. Only after receiving the certificate will the application for Guinness Records be made.
