Police have arrested 20 Jamaat-Shibir activists from Lalpur in Natore on charges of planning sabotage. They were arrested from Shivnagar area of ​​the upazila around 10 pm on Tuesday (April 30).

Lalpur police station officer-in-charge Nashim Ahmed (OC) said that the police conducted a raid in Shivnagar area based on secret information. The leaders and activists of Jamaat Shibir tried to escape from the secret meeting when they sensed the presence of the police. Later, the police arrested 20 leaders and activists of the Jamaat-Shibir from the spot. Meanwhile, a large number of anti-state books and leaflets were seized. Later, a case of sabotage was filed against them at the police station and they were sent to court on Wednesday afternoon.
