Kazi Nazrul Islam’s poems and songs are a constant source of inspiration and spirit in our wars, struggles and faith-based lifestyles. The songs composed by Nazrul, sung in the voice of Abbasuddin, like the Azad newspaper and the Mohammedan Sporting Club, in the freedom movement of the exploited and oppressed Muslim population of British-ruled Bengal.

These united large groups of people, giving them emotional strength and giving success to their voices. Similarly, Nazrul’s timeless patriotic-rebellious poems and songs inspired the nation to acquire another new flag and map in the struggle against Yahya Khan’s military in 1971.

Kazi Nazrul Islam is closely associated with our nationalism, heritage, pride and independence movements. However, poet Nazrul’s poems and songs are not aired regularly on radio and TV channels of Bangladesh except on his birth and death anniversaries. Many are mourned who are completely unrelated to our national consciousness.

National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam being neglected in the media for mysterious reasons is a matter of anger and pain for the nation. The leaders of Bangladesh Muslim League think that the relevant government ministries and media should look into this issue.

On Saturday (May 25) at 3 pm on the 125th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the leaders present at the discussion and doa mahfil organized under the chairmanship of Executive President Abdul Aziz Howladar at the party head office in Paltana said the above words
