Three workers died after falling from the 11th floor of an under-construction building in the capital’s Basabo area on Friday (17 May).
The deceased were identified as Altaf Hossain, 40, Antar, 25, and Mafizul Islam, 20.
Confirming the matter, Sobujbag Police Station Officer in Charge Proloy Kumar Saha told the Daily Samakal that three of the construction workers fell from the building at around 9am. They were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared two of them dead. The other injured worker also succumbed in the afternoon at the Mugda Medical College Hospital.
Duty officer SI Rubina said they received information about the incident through the National Emergency Service 999.
