Managing Director of DMTCL Mohammad Abdur Rauf gave this information in a conference organized at the head office of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DSTCL) last Thursday afternoon.
He said that from September 1 to September 18, 49 lakh 9 thousand 49 passengers traveled by metro rail. Our income is 20 crore 67 lakh 3 thousand 591 taka. 2 of these were closed on Fridays. Metrorail remained closed for a long time on Wednesday due to a technical glitch. Mohammad Abdur Rauf also said that there has been a loss of one crore rupees.
He said, on Wednesday our income was only 54 lakh 91 thousand 140 taka.
On September 12, the highest number of passengers traveled on Metrorail. In this regard, Mohammad Abdur Rauf said that 3 lakh 43 thousand 892 passengers traveled by metro rail on this day.
The maximum income of Metrorail that day was 1 crore 46 lakh 57 thousand 566 taka. Besides, on an average, 3 lakh people travel by metro rail every day.
