The incident took place at Bagwan village of Ward No. 1 of Mathurapur Union of Kushtia Daulatpur Upazila at around 10 am on Saturday (July 13). Daulatpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mahabubur Rahman confirmed the matter.The deceased Liton Biswas is the son of Haran Biswas of Bagwan village and Rajib Ali is the son of Ziar Ali of the same village. They both worked as masons. This tragic accident has cast a shadow of mourning on the area.According to the police, the family of the deceased and local sources, on Saturday morning, mason Liton and Rajib went to work on a new septic tank at the house of Rifait Ali’s son Musharraf Ali of Bagwan village. Together they got into the septic tank. They died there. Later, the locals recovered the frozen bodies of the two from the tank. Daulatpur police station recovered two bodies from the spot and sent them to Kushtia General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.Confirming the truth of the incident, Daulatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahabubur Rahman said that two masons named Liton and Rajib were killed while working on a septic tank in Bagwan village. Their bodies were recovered and sent to the hospital morgue.
