The interim government has decided to deploy 191 platoon BGB across the country including the capital Dhaka to control the law and order situation.
Sunday (November 10) morning BGB headquarters public relations officer. Shariful Islam confirmed the matter in a small message.
On August 5, the Awami League government collapsed in the face of violent mass protests. On the same day, the leader of the party and the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country and took refuge in India in the face of student protests.
Almost three months after the fall, the Awami League has announced to hold a public political program. The party is planning to hold a program at zero point of Gulistan to commemorate Shaheed Noor Hossain and demand ‘removal of undemocratic forces and re-establishment of democratic system’ at 3 pm on Sunday. Meanwhile, the anti-discrimination student movement has called for a public rally to demand the trial of the ousted Awami League at the same place.
Meanwhile, the interim government has issued a stern warning against the program announced by the Awami League. In such a situation, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has made special preparations to protect law and order in the capital.
Interim Government Chief Adviser Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said on his verified Facebook page on Saturday (November 9) at 12:10 PM that Awami League is currently a fascist party. There is no opportunity to allow this fascist party to hold any protest program in Bangladesh.
Besides, interim government advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan also gave a status on Facebook in this regard. He wrote that the law and order forces will take strict action if anyone from mass murderers and banned organizations tries to organize a program.
He also writes, Awami League in its present form is a fascist party. Anyone who tries to hold rallies, gatherings and processions on the orders of genocidal and dictator Sheikh Hasina will face the full force of law and order forces.
