As part of the celebration of South Asian culture and heritage and South Asian heritage, London Bara of Tower Hamlets Council’s ‘A Season of Bengali Drama’ organized a wonderful Nasheed evening ‘Night of Devotion’ at East London’s Brady Art Center on August 17. The audience was mesmerized by the ‘Surer Chowya’ song performed by the artists of Massage Cultural Group. A remarkable Nate Rasul was ‘You are more beautiful than the moon’.
You are more beautiful than the moon – Nabi my peace and blessings be upon you / Your Messenger in happiness and sadness – Beloved Habib Allah Ta’ala. / In the light of your light – gray caught me / rose from mete – urmimala in the sea. / The charm of your name – makes my mind bored / By singing the ghazal of the Prophet’s name – the whole world is bewildered / At the love of your love – a garland of songs full of joy.
Apoorva was sung so beautifully by a group of artists that everyone present was mesmerized. Many have uploaded the video of the song on social media. The song has also spread among netizens.
Along with popular artist Naushad Mahfuz, Zahidul Islam, Anwar Hossain Anu, Saidul Islam, Shahidul Islam, Jahangir Alam, Golzar Ahmad, Abu Taher Saifullah, Azizul Hakim Tanbir, Mahfuz Elahi Tarek and others sang together in great voice. Fans are impressed.
A song in the Sylhet language created waves among the audience at the event. “When I see the marriage, my heart hides in tears – time and time again, my wife does not get married”. Many of the audience said, ‘Huniya is feeling good’.
Tears have flowed in the eyes of many people with this song ‘If she was your beloved mother, the poor, hungry, helpless, with worn clothes lying on the pavement’. Such educational songs served the purpose of the program.
Mother’s songs, spiritual songs etc. were extras. It is known from the response of the audience that it is worthwhile to enter if you buy a ticket.

Rokshana Begum, Cultural Officer of Tower Hamlets Council delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Abdullah Al Munim, Zahidul Alam Masood etc. actively participated among others.
